Cooking for the Kitchen Illiterate
Coming in November! Cooking for the Kitchen Illiterate: Tales of a not-so-great Chef
Have you ever burned a pizza? Sure, lots of folks have… but have you ever burned a pizza because you accidentally tripped the oven self-clean setting? (Do you know what pizza that’s been ‘self-cleaned’ for two hours smells like? *shudders*) Have you ever singed all the hair off your fingers in a gas stove? Do you cringe at the sight of a long, complicated recipe? Is it an accomplishment for you if you can make eggs without the ‘burned bits’? Do you get confused at the difference between soft-boiled and hard-boiled? Have you actually burned water?
If you answered yes to all of the above questions, then you are, by default, the worst cook in the Changeling family. And who better to write a column about cooking? LOL!!
Starting next month, I’ll be cooking up a little something special for readers. Mouth-watering recipes and hilarious hijinks are coming your way! |

Facts of Life by DaHeap Printing Every printed letter has been designed with the aim of making the words easy to read (for a book or brochure) or making them jump off the page (for an advertisement or headline). The art of making printed words look good is called typography and the letter designs are known as 'typefaces' or 'fonts'. This paragraph is in a typeface known as Garamond after Claude Garamond, who was a French type designed in the 16th century.
